What is Pityriasis Rosea?
A
- An acute, self-limiting rash which affects young adults
- Thought to be associated with HHV-7

What are the clinical features of Pityriasis Rosea?
A
- May give a history of a recent viral infection
- Herald patch seen on the trunk
- erythematous, oval, scaly patches
- Distribution: lesions running parallel to the line of Langer and produces a fir-tree appearance

What is the managment for Pityriasis Rosea?
A
- Self-limiting after 6-12 weeks

What are the causes of Pityriasis Rosea?
A
- HSV 6 and &
- Drug induced reactions - ACE, NSAID, Isotretinoin
- Vaccine, BCG, Diphtheria, smallpox, Hep B
