Intentionally hurting or gaining advantage over another person without necessarily involving physical injury
What is violence?
Intentional use of physical force or power, threatened or actual against oneself, another person or a group/ community resulting in high likelihood of injury, death or harm

Max 72 hours

No, not unless emergency

How long does a compulsory treatment order last for?
Up to 6 months
Rapid tranquilisation plan if you don’t know history/ cardiac disease/ current illicit drug use / no history of typical antipsychotics
Oral therapy - lorazepam 1-2mg ->
Injection lorazepam 1-2mg IM ->
Repeat injection once if necessary ->
If no response from second injection get advice from senior
Rapid tranquilisation plan if confirmed history of significant Tupi Al antipsychotic exposure
Oral lorazepam 1-2 mg / haloperidol 5mg ->
Injection lorazepam 1-2mg IM / extreme cases : combination of lorazepam and haloperidol 5mg IM ->
Repeat injection once if necessary ->
If no response then get advice from senior
