red figure pottery was invented in athens around 530 bc but only became popular after they had lost the peloponnesian war. Their trade had boosted and they changed directions to the north. Towards maceondia

from attica and where they were made was called attic workshops
There were many famous groups but some themes that showed up a lot were scenes form the female world, busts wearing phrygian caps decorated with leafy branches

red figure pottery was being traded into macedonia it had influenced the making of workshops in pella, the capitol of macedonia, where they could now make their own pottery and export it.
