polyarteritis nodosa, kawasaki, thromboangiitis obliterans
small vessel vasculitides
GPA, MPA, churg-strauss, HSP
GIant cell: who? where? presentation?
older ppl. extracranial (temporal arteries). Fever, headache, polymyalgia rheumatica (girdle muscle pain). Ophthalmic artery
takayasu’s: who? aka? what arteries?
younger asian women. pulseless dz. aorta and subclavian
treatment for most vasculitides
steroids, cyclophosphamide
Polyarteritis nodosa: triad, viral association
mononeuritis multiplex (weakness of random points), hematuria, cutaneous. Hep B associated
Kawasaki: pentad, treatment
fever, conjunctivitis, strawberry tongue, cervical lymphadenopathy, desquamative rash. ASA, IVIG
Thromboangiitis obliterans: who? associated with?
young smoking males. Raynaud’s phenom
Henoch-schonlein purpura: who? what deposits?
young kids; IgA (esp in kidney); abdominal pain.
P anca reacts with what? C anca?
MPO; PR3
Granulomatosis with polyangiitis: two hallmarks? anca? triad of involvement?
granulomas, necrosis of small vessels. C-anca. Upper and lower RT, renal.
Microscopic polyangiitis: what organs are involved. Anca?
lung and kidney, p-anca
churg-strauss: triad? other associate disorders?
asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps. Mononeuritis multiplex. can have purpura, myocarditis
