A

  • Documentation: Record maintenance and support to establish a history
  • Analysis: Used to improve reliability and maintainability of systems and to reduce cost
  • Configuration Status Accounting: Report and record changes to equipment, configurations and shipboard locations
  • Scheduling: Standardize method of planning, managing, executing and tracking maintenance requirements

A

The ship’s 3-M system applies to all ships, service craft, small boats, and non-aviation fleet test and support equipment

3 categories of Feedback Reports (FBR)

A
  • CAT A = non technical, meet the PMS needs, submitted by 3-MC
  • CAT B = technical discrepancies inhibiting PMS performance, notifications of shift of maintenance, TYCOM assistance
  • Urgent = involves safety of personnel, safety of ship, potential of damage to equipment
