What is censorship?
The practice of suppressing and limiting access to material considered obscene, offensive or a threat to security.
Example: muting certain content considered inappropriate to some people.
What is discrimination?
Acts of treating groups of people, or individuals differently, based on prejudice
Example: not giving a job to someone because they are a women
What is Extreamism?
Believing in and supporting ideas that are far from what people think is reasonable or right
Example: Westburo baptist church
What is human rights?
The basic entitlements that are given to all human beings.
Example: one human right is that all people should have the right to an education
What is personal conviction?
Something a person strongly believes in or is passionate about
Example: Oscar Romeo fought against the government to help poverty even though this put him in danger
What is prejudice?
Judging people to be superior or inferior without cause.
Example: seeing a group of teens and assume that they are out to cause trouble.
What is relative poverty?
A standard of poverty measured in relation to standards of society in which a person lives
Example: living under the uk average income
