What is a Nuclear family?
Two parents and children living in the same house.
What is a Childless family?
A family with no children, this may be by choice , infertility or another reason.
What is an Extended family?
Multiple adults and children living in the same house; this may include grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.
What is a Single parent family?
A family with one parent who raises the children alone.
What is a Blended family?
A family made up of two parents who had previous partners and children. Step-parents, step brothers/sisters, etc.
What is the most common type of family in the UK?
The nuclear family

True- 90% of single parent families are headed by women.
In the UK are there more step-fathers or step-mothers?
Step-fathers: more single men marry women with children than the other way round.
