NREM
1. 5-10min, slow eyes, low bp, relax muscles, theta waves
2. no alpha waves, memory consolidation, synaptic pruning. main light sleep time
3. deep sleep for relaxation and rejuvenation, delta waves up to 50% of brain activity
4. delata waves >50% of brain activity, same as quality as 3.
REM:
5. darting eye movements, beta waves, dreaming
