What is paramount not to do when behaving with an aggressive patient

A

Do not damage relationship with the families. If they have confided in you don’t say oh “so and so told me”.

The patient can be as nasty as they like to you as you’ll never see them again. If they are blaming their family for them being in hospital, take responsibility and demonstrate that it is you who has put them there
