The patient can be as nasty as they like to you as you’ll never see them again. If they are blaming their family for them being in hospital, take responsibility and demonstrate that it is you who has put them there

Lithium is taken at night due to it being a sedative and making you go to the bathroom more so the test should be carried out on the 5th morning after taking it

Rash/itch= very and stop immediately
May lead to Steven Johnson’s syndrome
How do you deal with someone who has mania on the ward
Put them on a side ward to preserve dignity and reduce overstimulation.
Community mental health nurses can follow them up
