Q

Where would you go in Scripture for support of the doctrine of the Trinity?

A

Eternal-We: Genesis 1:26 “Then God said, let us make man in our image…”

Jesus’ baptism: Matthew 3:16-17 “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment, heaven opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, this is my son whom I love, with him I am well pleased.

Father, Son, Holy Spirit: Matthew 28:18-20 “Then Jesus came to them and said All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all men, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with always, to the very end of the age.

Jesus and the Father are one: John 14:11 “Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me.”

Jesus-Father-Holy Spirit-“I will ask the Father and He will give you the Holy Spirit.” John 14:16-17
