As child-Thief in the night
(2 Peter 3:10-“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.”
Look forward to return-
2 Peter 3:11-13-“But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.”
Imminent Returns-
Matthew 24:36-51-“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the son, but only the Father…”
Hopeful:
-1 Thessalonians 5 talks about the hope that we have as beleivers in the Day of the Lord…
1 Thessalonians 5:19-“For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Literal millenium:
Revelation 20:1-3-“And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for 1000 years. He threw him into the Abyss, and lokced and sealed it over him, to keep him from deveiving the nations anymore until the thousand years werre ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time.”
How will the second coming of Christ differ from his first coming?
1st coming-came with humility-suffering sermon-Philippians 2:5-11
2nd coming-will come in power and great glory-
Matthew 24:30-“Then will appear the sign o fthe Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn whe they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.”
What are the differences between the doctrines of Premillenialism, Postmillenialism, and Amillenialism?
Premillenialism-Christ returns, literal 1000 year reign, then judgement
Post millenialism-Satan is already bound, no literal 1000 years…then second coming
Amillenialism-Satan is already bound, No literal 1000 years…we are currently in the millenium and Christ has a spiritual reign..second brings judgement
Do you hold a premillenial view?
Yes-millenial reign of Christ after his return-
Revelation 19-20
What major events will happen before and after the millenium?
Revelation 20
Before: Rapture-tribulation
During-Satan is bound, Christ will reign…Satan will released and gathers his army for one final battle…Christ wins
After: White throne judgement…anyone whose name is not in the book of lief will be cast into the lake of fire…new heavens and new earth
Describe the basic tribulation positions and what is yours?
Pre-trib: believers will be removed from the earth prior to the tribulation
Mid-trib-believers will experience the first half of the tribulation, but then will be removed for the final 3.5 years
Post-trib-believers will be there for the for whole thing and meet up with Jesus at the end.
I am pre-trib-
Matthew 24:21-“Fro then there will beGREAT DISTRESS, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now-and never be equalled again.”
What does the term “the imminent return of Christ” mean to you and what Scriptural foundation do you have for your understanding?
Suddenly…without warning

What is the relationship between Israel and the Church?
Romans 9:11-Both are part of the future. God has speciific plans to use Israel and specific plans to bring unity for Israel…who were the first missionaries…and the Church…the second missionaries.
Ephesians 2:19-20 says that we are one in Christ.
“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens wiht God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.”
