What does the term Resurrection mean?
Being made alive after being dead…Jesus’ body was resurrected just as ours will be 1 Corinthians 15.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4-“For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…”
Different from resecitation of Lazarus in John 11.
Do you believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ? Why?
Yes because it is essential to our faith and found in every Gospel.

How important is the doctrine of resurrection to the Christian faith?
ESSENTIAL: it provides for eternity…not just temporary. It shows proof of vindication. (1 Corinthians 15)
What are essential points of Paul’s teaching on the ressurection in 1 Corinthians 15?
- Essential to the faith: with it we are hopeless
- If the dead are not raised, we are dead in sin
- Our bodies will be made eternal
What happens to the believer when he is resurrected?
What happens to the unbeliever?
Believer: Joy
(Revalation 21:4-“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning, or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
and Glorification
(Philippians 3:21-“who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”

What is the Biblical doctine of Heaven?
Revelation 21-22-God’s presence, angels
It is the final place for righteousness, tears will be wiped away.
