Q

Is the atonement effective in human lives where the Gospel is unknown?

A

No. General revelation reveals God, but is not enough.

A person must make an authentic confession
Romans 10:9-“If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead; you will be saved.”

People can’t call on what they haven’t heard
Romans 10:14-“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”

Q

Could anyone other than Christ have been an acceptable offereing?

A

No. Sacrifice needed to be blameless, pure, and perfect…and man. Only Christ was these things.

Hebrews 4:15-“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weakness, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he did not sin.”

Resurrection 1 Corinthians 15 The enitre chapter talks about resurrection…but

1 Corinthians 2-4-“By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise you have believed in vain.
