Trigger - Dysrhythmias 3 Flashcards
Caused by:
- electrolyte imbalance
- digoxin toxicity
- myocarditis
- ischemia
junctional arrhythmias
present as retrograde P wave before, during or after QRS with HR of 70-120
junctional arrhythmias
treated by fixing underlying cause
junctional arrhythmias
Regular rhythm, wide complex with rate of 60-120.
idioventricular rhythm
can be caused by reperfusion injuries after angioplasty
idioventricular rhythms.
also by digoxin toxicity or acute MI
sustained 3+ PVCs with rate of 160-240
V tach
caused by catecholaminergic polymorphic VT, cardiomyopathy or a bunch of other things
V tach
Acute MI or CAD
Cardiomyopathy, valvular disease, myocarditis
Catecholaminergic polymorphic VT (No structural abnormalities)
Long QT syndrome, brugada (No structural abnormalities)
TdP due to severe hypokalemia or hypomagnesemia or QT prolongation drugs
QT inervals of .5-.7 seconds
Long QT syndrome or brugada syndrome
recurrent syncope or sudden death
prolonged QT syndrome or brugada syndrome
assocaited with deafness via jervell-lange-nielsen syndrome or romano ward syndrome
long QT syndrome
assocaited with defect in potassium channels
LQT syndrome type 1
associated with defect in Na channels
LQT syndrome T2
sudden death occuring during sleep or high emotional distress
LQTS type 3
assocaited with RBBB and STE in anterior precordial leads
brugada syndrome
assocaited with SCN5a gene and young asian men
Brugada syndrome
