Antipsychotic drugs
A
Reducing dopamine release, reducing hallucinations. Side effects are tardive dyskinesia, involuntary jerking.

Anxiety Drugs
A
Reduce neuro activity, diazapames. Highly addictive and used as recreational drugs. Not as affective as initally thought

Antidepressants
A
SSRI’s and trycyclics. Reduce in 50% but have a lot of side effects. Block reuptake of serotonine.

Placebo effects
A
Spontaneous remission; Improvement of those who don’t receive treatment (control)
Placebo effect: effect in those who think they took the drugs but had placebo
Drug effect; Improvement of those who took drugs. Higher than effect in placebo
