Unconscious cues

A

Pscyhoanalysis focusses on the underlying cause of the problem which is unconsicous. To find out what the cause is, you need cues that tell you about the unconscious;
- Free association (first that comes to mind when….)
- Freudian slips
- Dreams. (manifest (the objective dream) Latent (actual meaning behind it)

Refusing to talk about certain topics, ‘forgetting’ to come to sessions. Defence mech activated, meaning you’re getting to core.
