What is CITES?
This is an international agreement to make sure that trade in wildlife specimens does not affect its survival.

- Make sure that certain more endangered wild species are traded.

Smuggling means that endangered or on demand animals will still be unprotected and moved which are hard to keep track of.

This is an international convention signed at the 1992 Rio Earth summit by 140 leaders to promote sustainable development.
