- Manually control the level crossing
- Have them disconnected by signals personnel
- Have them remotely controlled by TC
- This must be notified on a DIB or special bulletin

A
- Operated by trained personnel
- Managed using either manual or automatic operation, for train movements
- Restored to normal operation at the completion of planned work and this is certified to TC
- Unplanned use of manual control does not require notice by bulletins and will be arranged with the train controller as required

What happens when a level crossing has been disconnected?
A
- A 10km/h speed restriction must be placed over the level crossing for the duration the alarms are disconnected, except when no train movements are planned.
- Notification if the speed restriction will be included in the access providers speed restriction system or bulletin.
