  • RPO - Must communicate with the signaller and arrange for the signals to be help at stop to prevent confusion.
  • Signaller - Must apply blocking to the signals being held at stop until advised by the RPO that the line is clear and safe for traffic to proceed.

  • When a signaller is required to operate a signal held at stop, approval for the movement must first be obtained from the RPO to ensure there will be no conflicting movements.
  • After each movement the blocking procedure for the signal must be reinstated.
