Signs of tricyclic antidepressant OD?
Anticholinergic toxidrome
Treatments for tricyclic antidepressant OD
- Sodium Bicarb to alkalize urine and to treat
dysrhythmias - Lido or mag for ventricular arrhythmia
- benzos for seizure
Treatment for sympathomimetic OD
- benzos

What drug should be avoided in serotonin syndrome?
Haloperidol, it can worsen hyperthermia p.283
What is neuroleptic malignant syndrome?
A response to antipsychotic meds
usually occurs more than 24 hours after med initiation
Results in severe muscle rigidity, hyperthermia, AMS, autonomic instability,
Meds that may cause NMS?
Haldol, reglan, phenergan, droperidol
Treatments for NMS?
dantrolene, bromocriptine, benzos, sodium bicarb, fluids
