Permeable skin w/ no scales that acts a respiratory surface, susceptible to desiccation and salt, Ectodermic, buccal pump, water reproduction, external eardums.
Ectodermic
Rely on external heat sources rather than metabolic heat production to regulate body heat.
Life Cycle
Metamorphosis of aquatic larvae into terrestrial adults.
Salamanders
Have tails in the larval and adult stage, no gills in adults, walk, predators to invertebrates.
Frogs
Larval tadpoles w/ tail to adults w/o tails, hind legs for jumping. Well-developed vocal cords and ears.
Caecilians
Legless amphibians, burrowers, blind, thick skull.
