The muscles
M.tibialis cranialis
M.peroneus longus
M.peroneus brevis
All of them flexes the tarsus, and o. from the lat. side of tibia/fibula. Tibialis cran. goes to t1 and mt1+2, peroneus longus to t4+5 and all mt, and peroneus brevis to mt5.
M.tibialis cranialis
O: Cran. margin of lat. condyle and crest of tibia
I: Med. side on os tarsi 1 and Mt.1+2
A: Flexes tarsus
M. peroneus longus
Also calles M.fibularis longus
O: Cran. margin of lat. condyle of tibia, head of fibula, lat. collateral lig.
I: First to os tarsi 4+5 on plantar surface, then rxtends to all Mt. plantar base.
A: Flexes tarsus
M.peroneus brevis
Also called M.fibularis brevis
O: Lat. on dist. third of fibula (and partly on tibia)
I: Mt.5 base
A: Flexes tarsus
