measurement of the human individual. Body measurements, size, length, etc.
Statistic and Dynamic data
Statistic: easier to gather, more reliable
Dynamic: harder to gather as people move, more useful
Percentile
Where a group of people falls into
Primary and Secondary data
Primary: data collected by a user for a specific purpose
Secondary: data collected by someone other than the user
Limitations of Primary Data
Limitations: tools used, personnel training, time of the day
Range of sizes and adjustability
Range: selection of sizes that caters for most of the market
Adjustability: ability of a product to be changed in size, commonly used to increase the range of percentiles
Clearance
physical space between two objects
Reach
range the user can stretch an object in a certain position
