O: Ventral part of sternum and xiphoid cartilage
I: tendon = lesser tubercle of humerus
aponeurosis = crest of greater tubercle
A: PULL trunk cranially, EXTEND shoulder joint when supporting weight. FLEX shoulder joint when not supporting weight. ADDUCT limb
Innervation: Caudal pectoral nerve
Brachiocephalicus (Cleidocephalicus pars cervicalis)
O: clavicular intersection/clavicle
I: cranial half of mid-dorsal fibrous raphe, nuchal crest of occipital bone
A: ADVANCE the limb, EXTEND the shoulder joint, DRAW the neck and head to the side
Innervation: Accessory n.

Brachiocephalicus (Cleidocephalicus pars mastoideus)
O: clavicular intersection/clavicle
I: mastoid part of temporal bone
A: ADVANCE the limb, EXTEND the shoulder joint, DRAW the neck and head to the side

A: FLEX shoulder
