Axillary Lymph Center
Only lymph node in thoracic limb.
Axillary Lymph Node
Located caudal to the shoulder joint.
Accessory Axillary Lymph Node
Lies caudal to the principal axillary node.
Drainage of Axillary Lymph Node

Tracheobronchial Lymph Nodes
Constantly present, drains lungs and bronchi.
Middle Tracheobronchial Lymph Node
Largest node located in the carina.
Thymus
Bilobed structure, largest in young dogs.
Thoracic Duct Origin
Begins between the crura of the diaphragm.
Lumbar Lymph Center

Afferent Lymph Vessels
Vessels draining lymph into lumbar aortic nodes.
Renal Lymph Nodes
Inconstant nodes associated with renal vessels.
Iliosacral Lymph Center
Includes medial iliac, internal iliac, sacral nodes.
Medial Iliac Lymph Node
Large node between iliac arteries, drains pelvic area.
Internal Iliac Lymph Nodes
Small paired nodes near internal iliac artery.
Sacral Lymph Nodes
Often absent, associated with internal iliac nodes.
Lymph Nodes of Viscera
Grouped by organs, serve specific functions.
Lymph Vessels of Genital Organs
Drain into lumbar and iliac lymph nodes.
Celiac Lymph Center
Associated with organs supplied by celiac artery.
Hepatic Lymph Nodes
Nodes draining lymph from the liver.
Gastric Lymph Nodes

Middle Colic Lymph Node
Drains lymph from the middle colon.
Left Colic Lymph Node
Drains lymph from the left side of colon.
Popliteal Lymph Center
Consists of popliteal lymph nodes.
Efferent Vessels
Vessels carrying lymph away from lymph nodes.
Pelvic Limb Lymph Nodes
Nodes associated with lymph drainage from limbs.
Superficial Popliteal Lymph Node
Node located in the pelvic limb region.
Pelvic Limb Drainage
Drains lymph from areas distal to the node.
Iliofemoral Lymph Center
Includes distal femoral and external iliac lymph nodes.
Distal Femoral Lymph Node
Drains skin over stifle, crus, and pes.

Scrotal Lymph Nodes
Drain lymph from male reproductive structures.
Mammary Lymph Nodes
Drain lymph from female mammary glands.
Head and Neck Lymphocenters
Includes various lymph nodes in the head and neck.
Parotid Lymph Node
Drains dorsal head, located near parotid gland.
Lateral Retropharyngeal Lymph Node
Usually absent in dogs, palpable in ox.
Superficial Cervical Lymph Node
Located in the superficial cervical lymphocenter.
Mandibular Lymph Nodes
Drain superficial neck and proximal forelimb.
Retropharyngeal Lymph Center
Drains deeper head and neck structures.
Deep Cervical Lymph Center
