the normal ECG Flashcards
What does the P wave represent?
represents the wave of depolarisation that spreads from the SA node throughout the atria
how long does P wave last?
0.08 to 0.1 seconds
what does the isoelectric period after the p wave represent?
the time in which the impulse is travelling within the AV node
what doe the P-R interval represent?
represents the time between the onset of atrial depolarisation and the onset of ventricular depolarisation.
what does the QRs complex represent?
represents ventricular depolarisation
What does the ST segment represent?
represents period which the entire ventricle is depolarised
what does T wave represent?
represents ventricular depolarisation and is longer in duration than depolarisation
what does Q-T interval represent?
represents the time for both ventricular depolarisation and repolarisation to occur
