Tibialis Posterior
A
O: upper 1/2 of lateral aspect of posterior surface of the tibia, interosseous membrane and posterior surface of the fibula
I: Tubercle on the medial aspect of navicular, medial cuneiform & tendinous slips to most of the tarsal bone.
N: Tibial Nerve L4, L5
A: Inversion of the foot and plantarflexion of the ankle.

Tibialis Anterior
A
O: Upper 2/3rd of the lateral surface of the tibia and the interosseous membrane
I: medial side of medial cuneiform and base of 1st metatarsal
N: Deep Peroneal nerve L4, L5
A: Dorsiflexion of the ankle and inversion of the foot.
