I: neck of the talus
Limitation: resists the forward displacement of the foot and inversion

A
O: Tip of lateral malleolus
I: lateral tubercle of the posterior process of the talus
Limitation: resists inversion forces - and resists the backwards displacement of the foot.

A
O: tip of lateral malleolus
I: peroneal tubercle on the lateral surface of the calcaneus
Limitation: resists the backwards displacement of the foot.
