test 7 prostacyclin analogues Flashcards
1
Q
Prostacyclin mechanism of action
A
- PGI2 attaches to the G-protein and activates it
- signals adenylyl cyclase to produce cAMP
- cAMP goes on to activate protein kinase
- results in smooth muscle relaxation
