A
- Has the 613 mitzvot. Shows how they must fulfil their part of the covenant.
- Contains the history of the Jews. This gives them clarity about their heritage.

A
- Has the work of Jeremiah. Their purpose to teach faith in one God and to proclaim God’s message of justice.
- Shows how the Jewish people how the covenant God made with Moses worked its way out through the Jewish people

A
- Shows the ups and downs of living as God’s people. This gives them motivation to persevere.
- Shows the history and how the ways Jews behaved towards God affected their history.

Purpose of the Talmud
A
- It is the basis of the halakhah.
- Commentaries are still written. Makes it more relatable to modern life.
- Explains how the miztvot were applied and gives clarity

- ‘you may eat the ox.’

Ways to keep kashrut
A
- Kitchens should be in 2 halves one for meat and dairy. Separate utensils.
- Must be soaked in salt water for 30 minutes and drained before washing.
- Animals must be slaughtered by shechitah method. Slit with a razor sharp knife

- Believe that the laws of Moses are not God’s direct words. This means they are not mandatory.
- Keep better relations between relations
