1. Hand hygiene! Use gloves!
2. Use kidney bowl for gathering things.
3. Place the slide on tissue paper and label it with the patient’s details.
4. Cut the tape (slightly longer than the slide). NB! Do not touch the sticky side with your fingers!
5. Select an area on your arm. Press the tape firmly onto the sample area. Repeat several times.
6. Place the tape on the slide sticky side facing outwards.
7. Perform Diff-Quik stain.
8. Place the tape strip on the slide sticky side downwards.
9. Rest the slide vertically, allow it to air-dry.
