Enhanced authorisation scheme
MGN 561
Flag/MCA retains ISM / MSMD
Issued yearly with updated risk profile - letter of notification
Letter of notification certifies the vessel is part of EAS and states its risk profile
Invite-only
**Alternative Compliance Scheme **
Streamlines the survey and certification process whilst maintaining standards
Scheme where the MCA delegates almost all surveys and certification responsibilities to Classification Societies
Flag/MCA - Retain ISM, ISPS, MLC
Given a ACS Certificate of inspection following survey usually matched to the SMC survey date.

Difference between an audit and survey?
Audit is related mainly to ISM, ISPS and MLC - looking at systems, procedures and people
Survey is physical - checking equipment and structural matters
