وَجَعَلْنَا

نَوْمَكُمْ
your[plural] sleep
سُبَاتًا
a rest
اللَّيْلَ
the night
لِبَاسًا
a clothing; a covering
النَّهَارَ
the day
مَعَاشًا
a livelihood
وَبَنَيْنَا
and we constructed
فَوْقَكُمْ
above you[plural]
سَبْعًا
seven
شِدَادًا
strong
سِرَاجًا
a lamp
وَهَّاجًا
burning
وَأَنْزَلْنَا
and we sent down
مِنَ
from
الْمُعْصِرَاتِ
the rain clouds
مَاءً
water
ثَجَّاجًا
pouring abundantly
لِنُخْرِجَ
in order that we extract; that we may bring forth
بِهِ
thereby; by it
حَبًّا
grain
وَنَبَاتًا
and vegetation
وَجَنَّاتٍ
and gardens
أَلْفَافًا
thick foliage; greenery; vegetation
إِنَّ
indeed
يَوْمَ
day
الْفَصْلِ
the judgement; the decision; decisive
كَانَ
is; was always
مِيقَاتًا
an appointment; an appointed meeting time
يُنْفَخُ
shall be blown
فِي
in
الصُّورِ
the trumpet
فَتَأْتُونَ
and you[plural] come forth
أَفْوَاجًا
in multitudes; crowds
وَفُتِحَتِ
and is opened
السَّمَاءُ
the sky; the heaven
فَكَانَتْ
thus it[feminine] becomes; so it[feminine] is
أَبْوَابًا
gateways; doors; gates
وَسُيِّرَتِ
and are moved; and are done away with
الْجِبَالُ
the mountains
سَرَابًا
a mirage
إِنَّ
indeed
جَهَنَّمَ
Hell
مِرْصَادًا
lying in wait
لِلطَّاغِينَ
for the transgressors
مَـَٔابًا
a place of return
لَابِثِينَ
them remaining
فِيهَا
therein; in it[feminine]
أَحْقَابًا
a long period; ages
لَا
not
يَذُوقُونَ
they taste
بَرْدًا
coolness
وَلَا
and not
شَرَابًا
a drink
إِلَّا
except
حَمِيمًا
scalding water
وَغَسَّاقًا
and purulence; and rancidity
جَزَاءً
a reward
وِفَاقًا
appropriate
إِنَّهُمْ
indeed, they
كَانُوا
were
يَرْجُونَ
them hoping; them expecting
حِسَابًا
an account
وَكَذَّبُوا
and they denied
بِآيَاتِنَا
in + our signs
كِذَّابًا
a denial; falsehood
وَكُلَّ
and every
شَيْءٍ
thing
أَحْصَيْنَاهُ
we have counted it
كِتَابًا
a book
فَذُوقُوا
so then taste [plural]
فَلَنْ
so then never; and never
نَزِيدَكُمْ
we increase you[plural]
عَذَابًا
a punishment
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
for the righteous
مَفَازًا
success
حَدَائِقَ
gardens
وَأَعْنَابًا
and grapevines
وَكَوَاعِبَ
and splendid companions
أَتْرَابًا
well-matched; equals in age
وَكَأْسًا
and a cup
دِهَاقًا
full
يَسْمَعُونَ
they hear
لَغْوًا
vain talk
رَبِّكَ
your Lord
عَطَاءً
a gift
رَبِّ
Lord
السَّمَاوَاتِ
the heavens
وَالْأَرْضِ
and the earth
وَمَا
and not; and what
بَيْنَهُمَا
between both of them; between the two of them
الرَّحْمَٰنِ
the Most Merciful
يَمْلِكُونَ
they have power
مِنْهُ
from him
خِطَابًا
an address; a speech
يَقُومُ
he stands
الرُّوحُ
the spirit
وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ
and the angels
صَفًّا
a row
يَتَكَلَّمُونَ
they speak
أَذِنَ
permits
مَنْ
who
لَهُ
for him
وَقَالَ
and he says
صَوَابًا
correct
ذَٰلِكَ
that
الْيَوْمُ
the day
فَمَنْ
so whoever
شَاءَ
wills
اتَّخَذَ
let him take; he takes
إِلَىٰ
towards
رَبِّهِ
his Lord
إِنَّا
indeed, we
أَنْذَرْنَاكُمْ
we have warned you
قَرِيبًا
near
يَنْظُرُ
he will see
الْمَرْءُ
the man
مَا
what
قَدَّمَتْ
have sent forth
يَدَاهُ
his hands
وَيَقُولُ
and he says; and he will say
الْكَافِرُ
the disbeliever
يَا
O!
لَيْتَنِي
I wish
كُنْتُ
I was
تُرَابًا
dust
الْحَقُّ
the truth
