Super realism
Impersonal precise style that drew attention to the effects fo photography on the perception

Object, places and people from American urban and suburban life. They were not perceived as visually enchanting. The artist worked with concepts of reality and artificiality

Some used traditional balanced composition. some used composition of the impressionists Some used random pats of photographic material

Realistic shape of people objects and surrounding are precisely painted with sharply defined edges show a detailed illusion of 3d space. Some included photographic effects such as blurry areas.
