Installation of paintings, drawings and sculptures intended to be experienced as a whole

He used his allocated gallery space as part of his artwork he encouraged the movement of the viewer with the places he put things. Encouraged the new idea of experiencing 3d space on a 2D surface
How did minimalism influence new media
They focused on the planning of the artwork, simplistic medium, composition, shape, form and colour and the use of industrial materials. Led to further disregard for the creation of art (installation, performance, body, video, digital). Also acknowledgment of what visual experience between sculptural geometric shapes and the environment of the gallery led to theatrical experience of space and shapes

Changes up representation, communication and the audience occurred. Artists started to use its potential for experimentation in the creation of visual art.

Many rejected it because it appealed to the masses, but some used it as a visual disruption
What did the surrealists do with the invention of the camera
They recognised the potential of cinema as a medium to explore in their quest to expand the possibilities of visual expression. They sued juxtaposition of unusual images, the rejection of reality and the frequent use of shocking imagery in their films
