Substance Abuse
involves impulses and the state of finding it difficult to control the intake of a drug, feeling strong desires to take the said drug, prioritizing the drug’s use at the expense of other activities, and using it despite all the harmful effects
Substance dependence, sometimes referred to as dependence syndrome
wherein the person dependent on the substance experiences negative effects when he or she goes for an extended time without taking the substance
withdrawal symptoms
leads to psychological withdrawal symptoms, such as mood and emotional changes
Psychological dependence
on the other hand, leads to physical withdrawal like alterations in heart rate or blood pressure without the drug
Physical dependence

is one of the most widely used drugs and has, in fact, many medicinal properties as studies claim. It supposedly has lesser negative effects compared to other illicit drugs but includes thinking impairment in teenagers and children. Nonetheless, this drug is still illegal in the country.
Marijuana
also known as ecstasy, molly, drop, or E. This drug supposedly produces changes in mood and energy, among other recreational effects. Long-term use can lead to aggression, depression, anxiety, and more.
