Who must be registered? Who provides the form?
Each carrier and intermediate handler, and each exhibitor not required to be licensed under section 3. Deputy administrator.
In which state is the registration form filed? How often is it updated?
Filed in State for which registrant has principal place of business. Updated every 3 years by filling out a new registration form.
Do subsidiary or parent corporations file as registrants?
Subsidiary will be registered as an exhibitor, unless the subsidiary is under such direct control of the parent corporation that the Secretary determines that it is necessary for the parent company to register.
A registrant shall notify the Department Administrator by certified mail of any change in the name, address, or ownership, or other change in operations affecting its status as an exhibitor, carrier, or intermediate handler within how many days of making such change?

How may a registrant be placed in an inactive status? How many days in advance must a registrant notify the Deputy Administration prior to using, handling, or transporting animals again after being in an inactive status?
A registrant who has not used, handled, or transported animals for a period of at least 2 years may be placed in inactive status by making a written request to the Deputy Administrator. Must notify 10 days before using, handling, or transporting animals.
How does a registrant cancel its registration? What occurs if the registrant wants to use, handle, or transport animals again?
Written request to Deputy Administrator. Responsible for re-registering and demonstrating compliance with the Act.
