Q. On the 3rd day pot-operative for subarachnoid Hemorrhage caused by aneurysm. The ptn developed right arm weakness. What’s the cause and how to predict it and treat it?
A
The cause is vasospasm which causes ischemia in 1/3 of subarachnoid Hemorrhage ptn. And it can be predicted by evaluating the amount of blood on CT a day after hemorrhage. To treat it give Nimodipine
