Involves being realistic about the thing that is stressing you and confronting it head on
Choking under pressure
Occurs as a result of elevated self-conciousness that interferes with the individual’s attention on the task, especially when the stakes are high
Elevated level of self awareness interferes with attention, making it harder to perform the necessary behaviour
Also makes its hard for people to control their competing thoghts
