What causes stable angina?
A
atherosclerotic plaques in the coronary arteries which restricts blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart, often precipitated by excercuse and relieved by rest

When would you switch from GTN spray to oral therapy ?
A
If attacks occur more than twice a week

What is oral treatment options for stable angina?
A
BB or dihydropyridine CCB
BB and CCB
Consider adding Long acting nitrate-
Ivabradine, nicorandil, ranolazine
Long acting nitrate can also be used as mono therapy
