A

-Unilateral localised
-Pain(usually throbbing)
-tenderness
-skin changes, oedema, redness and warmth

A

Two-level DVT Wells score
If likely to have DVT- offer Proximal leg vein Ultrasound

then D-dimer test

Interim therapeutic anticoagulation

What interim anticoagulant is used if needed for DVT?

A

Apixiban or rivaroxaban first line

if unsuitable:
LMWH for at least 5 days followed by dabigatran or edoxaban

Or
LMWH with warfarin concurrently
