- inhibits aldosterone > down regulation of ENaC > more Na+ remains in lumen
- H2O is drawn into lumen
What are the adverse drug reactions of spironolactone?
Hyperkalamia
Gynaecomastia
Hypotension
What are the important drug drug interactions with spironolactone?

What are contraindications of spironolactone?
Hyperkalaemia

How does spironolactone cause gynacemastia?
Inhibits androgen receptors
