Q

What is the mechanism of action of ramipril?

A
  • ACEi
  • Inhibits ACE from converting AngI > AngII
  • inhibition of vasodilation > reduces BP + workload of heart
  • less AngII > less aldosterone > less Na+ + H2O reabsorbed > lower blood volume
  • less ADH
