Bleed LI 1 or LU 11 and ask patient to swallow
Auricular- lung, throat, tonsil
Bleed- helix, back of ear
Education
Avoid temp changes Exercise Avoid smoking, alcohol, hot/spicy food Gargle warm salty water Maintain reg. bowel habit to release toxins
Signs and Symptoms
Pain on swollowing Fever, chills Swollen tonsils Red throat Malaise Headache Hoarseness Anorexia
Exterior Wind-Heat
Bright red, swollen throat, severe sore throat, acute onset, chills, fever, headache, stuffy/running nose, dry cough or cough with yellow sputum
Bright red, swollen throat, severe sore throat, acute onset, high fever, thirst, constipation, scanty dark yellow urine, swelling and pain or bleeding gums, foul breath
