always want to sleep (day/night)
light sleepers
explain in TCM terms
yang fails to come out of yin= too much yin
chief pathology
excessive yin with yang xu
organs involved:
SP/ST, HT, KID
patterns:
1) Retention of PH-damp in SP
2) SP Qi (yang) XU
3) HT/KID xu (only seen in pallative patients)
usually after prolonged illness/elderly, eating less, tired after eating, listlessness, no desire to speak, sweat easily, spontaneous sweat, cold limb

T= pale, puffy, with scallops
P=deep weak
worse in rainy season or in damp place, accompanied by overweight, body heaviness, oppression in chest, poor appetite, nausea, phlegm in throat, even expectorating phlegm

T= normal or puffy, white thick sticky coat P= slippery, soft, slow
