asymptomatic in early stage, angry, irritable, red face, poor concentration, fatigue, HT/KID damage
normal BP:
140-90/60-90 mmHg
etiology:
1) stress—>LIV Qi stg—>LIV yang raising
2) diet—>PH-D–>SP/ST xu
3) age—>KID xu—>LIV yang raising
stages:
1) BP > 140/90
2) 1)+ enlargement of L ventricle/enlarged artery or vein in retinal fundus/ protein in urine
3) 1)+ stroke from clots in brain/ HT failure/ KID failure/ occular blood vessel bursting
patterns:
1) LIV-fire flare up
2) LIV yang raising
3) retention of PH-D
4) yin/yang xu
basic points:
GB-20, LI-11, ST-36, LIV-3
main manifestations:
hypertension, fluctuation in early stage and consistence in middle/late stage, dizziness, headache, palpitations, insomnia
dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus, restlessness, insomnia, dream-sleep, numb limbs, sore/weak lumbar/knees
