When is a MAYDAY declared?
A
In any situation that presents an immediate treat to the life or health of WMFR personnel.

What happens when a MAYDAY is declared?
A
IC should acknowledge the MAYDAY, all other radio transmission stops. If person calling MAYDAY does not provide a LUNAR, Jeffcom will provide the IC with the radio identifier

What does the person calling a MAYDAY do?
A
Key up their mic or press the emergency button. Say MAYDAY 3 times followed by name and location. After acknowledgement from IC, give LUNAR.

What are things the affected member can do to assist in own rescue?
A
Activate PASS, Conserve and monitor air, Utilize EBSS as needed, use flashlights and attempt a self rescue
