Why do we perform a warm up

Warm up
Phases of warm up:

Sports specific
Cool down
Acivities similar to those used in the warm up such as jogging can be used to return the heart rate gradually to its resting level. The cool-down takes about 5-10 minutes to return the heart to resting dependings on the activity . Static streching .

Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Time-bounds
Aiding sucsess
After setting goals , the likelihood of sucsess is enhamced if you plan , monitor and record their goals.
Specific
Means exactly knowing what the goal is . It may include a series of steps towards the overall goal. I want to be fitter or better at football is too general (not specific)
Measurable
Means it will be easy to know when goals are achieved.
Achivabale
Goals must be attainable.
Unachievable goals is likely to result in demotiveation
Realistic
A goals may be achievable in practice , but are there other reasons that may hinder the completion of that goal .
Time rebound
Does the goal have an end point
If not , it is easy to put off achiving indefinitely
