A
A self-screening tool that cab be used by anyone who is planning to start an exercise or training routine.

Why do we warm up?
A
- To prepare muscles, joints, ligaments, mind and CV system
- Prevent injury

Phases of Warm-Up

Warm Up (CV phase)
A
- Done to increase heart rate
- Can take place in many forms
- Takes around 10-15 minutes depending on activity and athlete

Warm Up (Stretching)
A
2 types of stretches:
- Static (On the spot)
- Dynamic (Use movements specific to a sport)

Warm up (sport specific)
A
- Will practice the skills of the activity you are about to do

Cool down
A
. 5-10 minutes of resting to bring your heart rate back down
. After 10-15 minutes of stretching
