Cardiovascular fitness
The ability to exercise your whole body for long periods of time

The ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without getting tired

By having good flexibility, how can it benefit an athlete?
It can enhance their performance and you are less likely to get injured
Body composition
The percentage of your body weight that is fat,muscle or bone
Hypertrophy
The process of building muscle
Agility
The ability to change change your position and control the body at speed(used in rugby)
Balance
Being able to keep the body stable while at rest or on the move
What are the two types of balance?
Static balance-Keeping the body stable while stationary e.g. doing a handstand
Dynamic balance-Maintaining a controlled, stable position while moving e.g. hammer throwing
Coordination
The ability to use two or more body parts together
What are the four types of coordination
Foot-eye coordination
Chest-eye or thigh-eye coordination
Head-eye coordination
Hand-eye coordination
Power
The ability to undertake strength performances quickly. It can be written as the formula:
